Each year, we like to support a charity that’s doing great work in the community and we know that many of you feel the same way.

For the 2nd year, we’ve decided to support Got Your Back Sista (GYBS). GYBS are a wonderful local organisation that supports women and children escaping domestic violence, who are at risk of living in poverty.

Since 2016 they have helped more than 600 women and their children start over in a safe space, free from violence. They support families by providing furniture and new household items like linen, new clothes, and whitegoods. They also run courses and programs to rebuild confidence and help to create pathways for study and employment.

We’ll be supporting, Got Your Back Sista’s ‘Open Pantry and Toy Drive’. Their pantry contains all the normal non-perishable items, includes toiletries and is available to families in need. Their pantry often runs low, particularly, with snack items for children and things like rice, tuna, tea, coffee and milk are always popular. This year, we’ll also be collecting items for their Toy Drive which will be held in early December. Often, they find the older children’s age group don’t receive as many donations as the younger ones.

If you would like to help us stock the GYBS Open Pantry or perhaps donate a new toy or book, any items would be greatly appreciated.

We’ll be collecting donations at our office from now until Thursday 30th November, for delivery on Friday 1st December.
